On one of my trips to Singapore, I stayed in the Chinatown district.
Most of the time I stay in the larger well known hotel groups.
This time I wanted to stay close to my work area.
I was only in Singapore for 2 days and had to work many hours to finish everything in time.
My company found a brand new 4 star Boutique Hotel only 200 meters for my work area.
The Wangz Hotel opened in 2009 and the Hotel building’s unique shape and metallic facade makes it a iconic building in Chinatown.
It’s a small boutique hotel with only 41 rooms created in local arts design and is located close to the CDB and only 300 meters from the nearest Subway.
When you enter the lobby you are greeted by the friendly staff and the artful decor of paintings on the walls.
You also will notice the Apple IMac computer in the lobby, where you can work on.
As an Apple user I was pleased with this brand as I also carry my Apple Macbook Pro with me.
The hotel offers Free WiFi Internet through out the Hotel and the rooms have a complimentary minbar, that is refilled every day.
The rooms are very nice and clean.
In-line with the hotel’s comfort and cosmopolitan style, the spacious 32 to 36 sq m (345 to 387 sq ft) rooms are elegantly appointed with either king-size or twin Sealy Posturepedic beds, luxurious cotton linens and goose feather down duvet, a pillow menu, complimentary internet access, a 37-inch flat panel TV, universal power outlets, a DVD player, an iPod docking station, tea and coffee facilities, and an electronic in-room safe.
The bed was great and comfortable and gave me a goodnight rest.
The hotel offers free breakfast to there guests.
The hotel is not equipped with a swimming pool, due to the Singapore regulations as the hotel before this new hotel was not allowed to have a swimming pool, also the Wangz is not allowed to create a swimming pool.
But the Hotel has a very nice Halo Rooftop Lounge.
In the evening you should head on up to the Halo Rooftop Lounge with panoramic views from the Singapore skyline
