The Westin Singapore Hotel.
I have stayed in many hotels in Singapore and I like to visit the newly opened hotels.
This time it was time to explore the newly opened hotel The Westin.
The Westin Singapore is situated in Singapore’s prestigious financial district on Marina Bay.
Close to Clarke Quay, Chinatown and Marina Bay Sands entertainment and shopping area.
Within a few honderd meters from the Westin Hotel, you will find many corporate headquarters.
The 305 rooms and suites will be booked in weekdays by these Businessmen.
That is why The Westin Singapore also offers a Executive Club Lounge for the Businessmen.
For just a few dollars more, you can also enjoy these privileges, children under the age of 12 are not allowed.
Not all the Westin Hotels have an Executive Club Lounge ( see my article about The Westin Melbourne )
After a long flight from Europe with Turkish Airlines, we arrived at the hotel at about 21.00.
Our company have a special deal with Blacklane , but your can also book the limo from the hotel or take a taxi from Changi Airport.
It takes about 30 minutes to travel from the Airport to the Hotel.
After taking the elevator to level 32, it was time to check in for our two day Westin experience.
We where welcomed by the friendly staff member and offered a welcome drink.
As it was not busy at 21.00 hours for the check-in, 3 staff members helped us.
One person arranged the creditcard details, the other helped us with registering for the SPG membership and the third person booked us in.
Make sure you register for the free SPG Membership .
It gives you complimantry Internet access within the hotel and 25% off the total bill for the buffets at the restaurant Seasonal Tastes and the Lobby Lounge.
Mr Smulders, your room is on level 44 room 4410.
It is an Executive Sea View Room with Club access.
Enjoy your stay.
What will the hotel tell you about this Executive Sea View Room ?
Featuring among business hotels in Singapore, The Westin Singapore affords a wealth of accommodation that is sure to cater to all your needs.
Located on the upper floors of the hotel, the Westin Executive Sea View Room is well-equipped with modern amenities and stylish furnishings, designed to make the international business traveller feel at home.
The room features a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with partial views of the bustling harbor and South China Sea.
In addition, enjoy exclusive access to the Westin Executive Club Lounge.
Take advantage of a daily breakfast buffet and nightly cocktail hour with savory hors d’oeuvres.
Business travellers will appreciate having three garments pressed upon arrival and the complimentary WiFi.
For me the most important furniture in the room is the bed, the Heavenly Bed, one of the best beds in the World.
If you are looking for only a great bed, The Westin Singapore scores a 10 out of 10.
After a great shower, I felt a sleep and had to be woken up by my wife for our breakfast.
The breakfast is served at the Executive Club Lounge at level 35
With your room key, you will have acces to the Executive Club Lounge, the door will open and the friendly staff member welcomes you.
Can I help you sir, our chef will help you with a choice of all kind of eggs.
We where seated and she asked us, what we would like to drink.
A fresh Orange juice would be fine and a Cappuccino.
We ordered our eggs and toasted our bread, the chef personally serves you and made us a great omelette.
The breakfast was great, there is enough to choose from and we finished with another orange juice.
Ready for a shopping day at Orchard Road.
Westin Executive Club.
When we arrived back at the hotel, we where just in time for the afternoon cocktails at the Executive Club lounge, served from 18.00 till 20.00 hours.
The Westin Executive Club Lounge offers hotel guests in Executive rooms and suites an exclusive, ideal space for relaxation and facilities to organize your meetings.
Enjoy views of the sea and part of the Marina Bay from floor-to-ceiling windows at one side of the lounge.
Stay connected in comfort and style with complimentary wireless high speed internet access, catching the latest news on television and an extensive selection of international newspapers and magazines.
Outdoor Infinity Pool and Fitness Centre.
From our room, we could see the great swimming pool, so it was time to relax and swim a few honderd meters.
The pool offers you great views over the sea and harbor.
You can also use the large Fitness room, but for me the swimming pool was enough.
No Fitness for me these two days, but the view is spectacular.
Sitting on the hometrainer, you have a great view over Singapore’s Harbor.
Lobby Lounge.
The Lobby Lounge can be found on level 32 and as a SPG member we got 25% off our bill.
We had a few drinks to close the day and got ready for our last night at this great hotel.
The Westin Hotel in Singapore is a great hotel.
For sure we will get back to this hotel, and I am sure we will have the same great service as we had experienced during this stay.
It’s not only a great Business Hotel, but also for the leisure traveller, a great place to stay.
