The renovation has come to an end.
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey’s highly anticipated renovation has come to an end on the 8th of March, revealing bright and fresh hotel rooms that boast stunning water or city views.
Under the direction of design firm Parker-Torres Design Inc., sea elements have been incorporated into the guest rooms and Club Lounge as part of a seamless continuation of public spaces at the luxury waterfront hotel.
Drawing inspiration from a Southern California sunset, the hotel rooms feature warm hues of orange and gold, as well as crisp, clean blues to create a look that is “elegant but understated,” design owner Miriam Torres explains.
Each room features custom-made artwork, as well as distinctive elements such as geode embellished lamps, an ornate sea urchin headboard and textured window curtains adorned with weaving that resemble fishing nets.
Additional upgrades include a backlit mirror in each marble-finished bathroom, a comfortable task chair for each desk, 49” flat panel televisions and Nespresso coffee machines.
The Club Lounge, located on the 11th floor of the hotel, incorporates many of the same guest room finishes that encourages guests to unwind and enjoy the coastal lifestyle.
It was time to explore this newly renovated hotel.
Last time I stayed at a Ritz Carlton Hotel in Singapore, I was overwhelmed by the exclusieve Style and Service from the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Singapore.
Can I expect the same warm hospitality also at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey ?
Arrival.
We arrived early in the evening at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, from our trip out of Las Vegas.
The Valet Parking Staff parked our car and we where welcomed with a nice welcome drink at the reception desk.
The staff was great, they fixed everything on forehand, so the actual check in just took less than one minute.
We where escorted to our room by the friendly staff member.
Room 709.
A Superieur Room with 35 m2 of luxury space.
Lavish and comfortable sleeping and work spaces.
Polished wood furnishings, fine fabrics and plush carpets.
Personal “Juliet” balconies.
Signature Asprey bath essentials.
Plush King bed for ultimate comfort.
Natural allergy-free bedding of feathers and down available upon request.
The bed was really great.
Comfortable, not too soft and it was hard for me to wake up in the morning.
Bathroom.
The bathroom has a great feature, the bathroom floor.
The floor is really warm.
And with warm I mean warm, not just a little bit warm, but comfortable warm.
Great if you feet hit the floor after a shower.
You will be tampered with Luxurious Asprey bath products at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey Hotel.
Dinner at Cast & Plow.
On Valentine Day having a dinner at Cast & Plow, enjoying the sophisticated cuisines in a vibrant restaurant.
A vibrant gathering spot focused on “community made” small plates sourced from local fisherman, farmers, growers and wineries.
A truly unique dining experience that personifies the dynamic community culture of Southern California.
As you can see the food looks great, but the taste was truly exceptional good.
You must make a reservation for this great restaurant, if you are in Los Angeles.
A once in your lifetime experience, that I will never forget.
After Dinner, we had a nice walk along the Marina.
Watching the boats and smell the fresh air and enjoy a nice stroll beside the harbor.
Swimmingpool.
I had to go for a swim, early in the morning.
Before we where going to have our breakfast at Cast & Plow, I went for a quick swim at 06.30.
As our KLM flight from LAX was going to leave at noon, it was one of the last things to enjoy during our 16 hours stay here.
The hotel has a great waterfront swimming pool.
It must be great to lie in one of the Cabanas during the hot summer.
Breakfast.
Spectacular views over the Marina from the Restaurant.
The breakfast was great, enough options and a light breakfast was also available.
We could have stayed for 7 days at this Excellent Hotel, but our KLM flight to Amsterdam was waiting for us.
From the hotel, it is just a 10 minutes ride to LAX Airport.
You don’t need to book an Airport Hotel, if you want to stay close to LAX Airport.
The Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey is a much better option, if you like to relax and enjoy a great service.
Next time we are in Los Angeles , for sure this will be the place where we will be staying.
