In September 2014, the Morgans Hotel group opened it’s third hotel in London, The Mondrian London at Sea Containers.
The Sanderson and St Martins Lane are the other hotels, run by the Morgans Hotel Group in London.
The Mondrian London at Sea Containers is situated on the banks of the River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building.
The Mondrian Hotel mixes the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with Southbank’s eclectic vibe.
It’s not like a traditional 5 star hotel, but a Boutique hotel and a luxury Hotel together.
It is located within walking distance from Westminster, Big Ben, the London Eye and St Pauls Cathedral.
The Mondrian hotel is located in the Cultural Heart of London, South Bank.
There are many things to do in South bank, you will find many restaurants and bars in this area, but you can also enjoy a live concert and there are many street attractions to be found on the banks of the Thames.
But in the evening, just enjoy a Riverside walk.
It was time to check-in.
As soon as you enter the Mondrian Hotel, you notice that you are enter a building that has lots of things with the ships industry.
Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from outside the building, through to the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel.
In the lobby you find a huge Blue Anchor Chain.
We where lucky that two lovely Girls helped us at the same time, to make the check-in as fast and as enjoyable as possible.
We arrived a bit early so we where expecting that our room would not be ready, but again we where lucky, a check in at 11.00.
One staff member helped us with the room and explained everything about the hotel and the other staff member finished all the administration work.

Seasonally contemplated, globally responsible, locally sourced and perfectly presented, Sea Containers’ modern dining room is perfect for lunch by the river, sunset cocktails, or an enchanting dinner.
That sounds great if you read this on the website, but lets see how it really is.
We booked a dinner for 2 at 19.00, just before the sun would set over the London Skyline.
After we where escorted to our table, we felt relaxed by the ambiance off the restaurant.
You will see a great bar with the Yellow Submarine hanging over the bar.
Enjoy your view outside.
Let’s order.
We started with a bread basket
Followed by meatballs and a salade and a Rib-Eye for two.
The best Dry Aged Grilled Bone in Rib-Eye that I had in years, so soft, tasteful and perfectly grilled.
The desserts where different ( we like that ) but very nice and tastefull.
Cointreau Babe with pickled Celery and Carrots with lime ice-cream or the Chocolate Cake with Chocolade sauce and lemon sorbet with yellow pepper mint marmalade.
The Celery, Carrots and Yellow Pepper mint Marmalade makes it fresh and special.
If you are going to visit London, don’t forget to book your reservation for Sea Containers way in advance, as it is always busy.
It was time for a short riverside walk before we would visit the Rumpus room.
The Rumpus Room.
The Rumpus Room is the rooftop bar and lounge at Mondrian London.
Here you can enjoy great Cocktails, enjoy the Music and see the Sun going down over the Skyline of London.
Invite your friends for a drink and just unwind.
Dresscode Smart / Casual.
It was time to enjoy a good night sleep after a view cocktails like the Singapore Sling.
Breakfast.
Breakfast is served at Sea Containers at ground level.
You have the option to choose from a La Carte Menu or for the Buffet.
Our option would be the Buffet today as we where still full from the dinner.
The breakfast was great.
As long as they serve fresh juices and croissants, it’s fine for me.
The Mondrian London Hotel at Sea Containers is an Excellent hotel.
For sure we will get back to this hotel, and I am sure we will have the same great service as we had experienced during this stay.
It’s not only a great Business Hotel, but also for the leisure traveller, a great place to stay, enjoy the views and don’t forget the great Rib Eye Steak at Sea Containers
