Hilton’s New Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Hotel Has Landed.
Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s Iconic Cubic Design and Stunning Interiors Redefine the Modern Airport Hotel.
The new Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, with 433 rooms and 1,700 square meters of meeting and event space, will be the airport’s leading conference hotel.
This new hotel opened its doors in December 2015, with the official opening at the 9th of February 2016.

Lucky for us, we stayed in this brand new hotel, the day before the official opening.
This hotel is a great hotel to start your holiday or business flight, if you depart from Amsterdam Schiphol.
Most of the times you have to get up early in the night, to be on time for your early flight in the morning.
Not really a great way to start your flight or holiday.

Start your flight and book this hotel for one night, prior to your flight the next day.
The New Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has some great deals regarding parking your car.
The Hilton Park and Fly deals, give you great rates, where you will be able to park your car up to 21 days, at the hotel’s covered underground parking.

Our KLM flight to Los Angeles would depart at 0950 on Monday morning.
Our group of four decided to enjoy the City of Amsterdam on Sunday.
We booked two executive rooms, rooms 1019 and 1021, two of the 96 Executive rooms, which allow guests access to the Executive Lounge.

 
On this travel experience we took de Thalys high speed train from Antwerp to Schiphol.
We live close to the Belgium border and this is the fasted way of transport.
We arrived at 12.05 at Schiphol Airport Train Station.
From the train station it is just a five minutes walk to the hotel.

The hotel is connected to the airport by a covered walkway, the Traverse.
This brings travellers directly from the terminals to the meeting centre, and further into the atrium.
By gradually descending to ground level at the hotel entrance.

We where welcomed by the very friendly staff member.
The check in went very fast and smooth.
The female staff member gave us all the information needed about Breakfast, Executive Lounge and our Rooms.

Feel on top of the world in an Executive Corner Room, located on the 10th and 11th floors of the hotel.
Take in the sweeping airport views through the floor-to-ceiling diamond-shaped windows or find inspiration in the fusion of calming colours and harmonious curved walls.
Enjoy playful designs and amenities such as a 40-inch HDTV and coffee & tea making facilities, then sleep off the jet-lag in your comfortable bed whilst the soundproof windows ensure the best rest possible.
Head down the corridor to the exclusive Executive Lounge, where you can dine amongst the clouds with complimentary breakfast and snacks throughout the day, reserved for our executive floor guests.

The Executive Room is a great room, the bed is very comfortable and all the amenities are available.
The Bathroom has a great rain shower and is spacious enough for two people.

After a long day in Amsterdam, it was time to get back to the hotel and unwind in the Executive lounge.
On our way from the Hotel room to the Lounge, you will see how amazing the new Atrium is.

The large, white atrium with a 42-metre high glazed roof is the main meeting area and forms the heart of the hotel.
Mecanoo designed the atrium to have a strong identity with the size, the surrounding gardens and the light horizontal lines of the balustrades and white elements that redirect daylight deep into the building, providing an air of grandeur.
From the smoothly winding galleries, guests have spectacular views of the atrium.
The advanced LED lighting system incorporated into the atrium ceiling, allows for the creation of a variety of atmospheres.

The Executive Lounge.

The Executive Lounge can be found on the 10th floor.
To get in, you will have to place your room key on the door.
The door will open and you will enter the large lounge.

Its interior is an elegant balance of the contemporary and classical.
A marble buffet counter serves as the place for a quick meeting.
A library area with high-backed leather armchairs offers a retreat and numerous comfortable seating arrangements, provide options for conversation and working.

The lounge provide all day drinks, also wine all day long.
Complimentary beverages are available at the Lounge and between 17.00 and 19.00 they will serve you  small snacks and warm bites at the Lounge.
A great place to unwind and relax and talk with friends or finish your work under a glas of wine.
After a few glasses of wine and snacks it was time to get back to the hotel room.
After a great night sleep, it was time to get up and get ready for our KLM flight.
But first, we went for a refreshing breakfast at the Bowery restaurant.

The Bowery Restaurant is located on the ground floor along the Schiphol facade.
Savor a special breakfast, lunch and dinner in Bowery Restaurant offering a cosmopolitan dining experience and a taste of Dutch culture.
Take in the excitement of three live cooking stations serving up contemporary flavors, healthy grill dishes and popular Asian specialties.
Fresh local products from Dutch suppliers and farmers, plus a sparkling atmosphere, make Bowery a true hot spot at Schiphol Airport City.

The breakfast was great, there was so much choice, that it was hard to choose what to eat.
The service by the staff was really great, we loved our breakfast and before we knew, we had to leave this great hotel to catch our KLM flight to Los Angeles.
